About Us

Our new nursery is set on a beautiful family run farm just off the A505 in Bassingbourn near Royston, with acres of land and horses. The brand-new building is light and airy throughout and the floor to ceiling windows allow for stunning views of the fields.

We run 51 weeks of the year and cater for children from 3months to 5 years old. We feel that with smaller numbers of children will help each key person to focus on the holistic development of each individual child.

Meet the Team

Welcome, I'm Natalie Ward the owner and manager of Eden House Day Nursery, I have over 18 years' worth of childcare experience and a degree in Early Years Education.

The passion and ambition to open a day nursery has always been at the forefront of my mind and after having my two children I am excited that the vision has now become a reality.

Our Ethos and Values

At Eden House Day Nursery we have taken elements of the modern day 'curiosity approach' to learning. The whole ethos behind the 'curiosity approach' has had a big impact on the type of setting we offer. Our mission is to provide an environment where your child feels safe, where they are free to explore and where they can have fun! We believe that in creating a homely environment with rich learning opportunities that encourage curiosity and independence, children will thrive.

Our experienced qualified practitioners ensure that children are supported, nurtured and valued. We believe that developing strong relationships with families is key to this and enhances a child's emotional well-being. We use the Early Years Framework and in particular the characteristics of effective learning to plan for and assess the children, however following the children's interests is our key focus.

Our values incorporate encouraging strong links to the environment and helping children to develop respect for their world, with daily walks around the farm, using natural resources in play and reusing furniture within our setting.

I hope this website gives you a good feel of our Nursery and the quality of care we provide. If you have any questions, or would like to enquire about spaces or book a tour please contact the nursery.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!
